Movie Matinee has been cancelled until further notice.

Peeps Diorama Contest

Take part in our 2nd annual Peeps Diorama Contest! Create a diorama using Peeps that will be displayed at the library, and might even win a prize. All ages are welcome to participate. Please follow these guidelines when creating your diorama:

  • Approximately the size of a shoebox
  • Design based on a book, movie, TV show, or a place in Lompoc
  • Do not include food other than Peeps
  • Must be family friendly -- entries deemed inappropriate will be omitted
  • Entries require a title and must include an entry form

All entries will be photographed and shared on the library's social media accounts.

Dates to remember:

  • Entries can be turned in March 18-22
  • Voting will take place March 23-28
  • Winner will be announced March 29
  • Entries not picked up by April 1 will be thrown away

Reading Challenge

Spring into reading this season! Join us in reading, logging our minutes, and earning some new badges. And special this month - pick up a paper Spring Reading Tracker at the Lompoc and Village Libraries!

Take-and-Make Craft

March's take-and-make is a Shamrock garland. Craft kits can be picked up at the Lompoc branch while supplies last.

Workplace Well-Being

Join us on Friday, March 15 from 9-11 AM at the Lompoc Library to learn about five essentials of workplace well-being. The Wellness Empowerment for Lompoc Leaders sessions are tailored for local leaders and Healthy Lompoc partners and aim to build resilient community stakeholders and improve awareness of mental health resouces. This program is facilitated by Suzanne Grimmesey, Chief of Strategy and Community Engagement at the Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness.
